Next generation Neos iTV system premiered at the The Hotel Show, Dubai, 2009

London, June 2009: Latest guestroom technology planned for end of year release.

Neos Interactive demonstrated its latest generation guestroom TV system for the hospitality industry, at last month's Hotel Show held in Dubai. Using latest Microsoft WPF technology, a rich user interface, and showcasing many new features, the alpha-release system impressed visitors with its sleek looks and smart performance.

Centre of attraction was the facility to hook up personal media such as i-Pod, USB Memory sticks and CD or DVD. Guests can now view and play their music playlists or photo libraries via the simple fully integrated interface with the hotel TV; and travellers without a laptop can even edit and save their personal files using the Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Another new feature on show was the facility to 'search and store' TV Channels, Music Albums, Radio Stations and Movies to enable guests to simply compile and edit their own 'Favourites' menu, creating a more personalised entertainment experience.

"An increasing number of travellers are carrying their own media, and expect their hotel room to be a home from home. Hotels will need to accommodate and enhance the mobile solutions that guests carry," explained Robin Warburton, Neos COO. "Our new offering which has a planned release later this year will have new features for guest personalisation and media, and will be more price-competitive with reduced platform and hardware costs."
