UK's leading technology companies offer worldwide service to hospitality
industry
March 9th 2004 - LONDON, United Kingdom. - Neos Interactive
Limited and Computacenter announced today the signing of a technology partnership
to bring the latest and best in integrated communications and entertainment
systems to hotel rooms worldwide.
Following the success of their first joint installation of
the NeosTV broadband interactive TV system at The Dorchester, London in 2003,
Neos and Computacenter have decided to create a technology partnership to
bring NeosTV and other IT infrastructure services to luxury hotels in Europe
and, potentially, worldwide.
Each partner contributes from an unparalleled basis of expertise:
Neos has developed a cutting edge in-room multi-media platform,
NeosTV, to deliver on-demand video and music, PC productivity applications,
together with Internet access on the TV. Unlike other in-room entertainment
systems, it has a user-friendly, intuitive interface, which can be customised
to the hotel's needs in appearance and with the broadest selection of media
content. Neos will design and sell such systems for customers in the hospitality
and leisure sectors.
Computacenter, as Europes leading independent provider of
IT infrastructure services, will plan and install the NeosTV application,
offer the most attractive terms for the procurement of all types of TV screen
and computer equipment for each installation, and afterwards support it through
Computacenter offices in UK, France, Germany, Austria and Benelux, and its
partners across the globe.
"To date", said Tassos Kazinos, Neos Chief Executive,
"we have lacked the practical means to bring NeosTV to the wider hotel
community that wants it. This relationship now enables us to deliver a one-stop,
world class solution for a prestige hotel's in-room communications and entertainment
needs".
Said David Radley, Divisional Director Computacenter U.K.:
"The market opportunity for Computacenter and Neos is enormous - there
are more than 13 million hotel rooms worldwide, the majority of which offer
none of the technology their guests are used to in their homes and offices.
Plus there is enormous incremental revenue potential for hotels by upgrading
to the latest and best technologies offered by Neos and Computacenter".
